It was so special to share the stage with Julia Roberts and Deborah Henry at #ObamaLeaders: Asia-Pacific today. We talked about what it means to define balance in our lives and our careers—and how that balance is different for everybody. We shared stories of how we’ve overcome self-doubt and how important it is to know that you belong wherever you are. We reflected on the men and women in our lives who have reminded us that our voices matter, and we emphasized that we all have the ability to change someone else's life for the better. The young leaders in the audience already know this—they’re doing so much to improve the lives of others. And with the @ObamaFoundation as a community of support, I can't wait to see all they accomplish.

Our family loves reading together and sharing book recommendations with each other. My daughter @JenniferKGates recommended two books — An American Marriage and Why We Sleep — that I enjoyed so much I added them to my holiday reading list.
